and a happy new year

365 is a lot of days 

Like you could do a lot of things for 365 days
Probably if you added up all the hours spent on calculus it would be a lot of days.
Or if you added up all the miles and minutes ive spent running it would be a lot of months.
And honestly all the time Ive spent watching hallmark Christmas movies (or just their trailers) with my brother would probably set you up for a good years worth of film.

But never in my life have I spent 365 days with my saviors name right under mine on a little black tag. 

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Serving a people I love with my friends I love in the language I love for the lord I love. 

I don't want it to end, sorry mom I'm ripping up my passport and staying forever. 

Had a crazy interview with president. Usually we just yell at each other and it's very fun.

You don't have to be perfect.
That's what President told me.
You don't have to be perfect hermana Barker! 

Because if hermana Barker is perfect she doesn't need jesus. And I'm.learning humility and mistakes mean I'm telling Jesus I need more of him in my life. 

So cheers to the 365 days of hermana Barker, and cheers to the 180 more :)

This week was an absolute whirlwind. Like i feel like pday was yesterday but last tuesday was like at least a month ago. 6.11 Better than disneyland

I am so bad at writing emails which is so lame I'm sorry I really don't do Peru justicia.  This week was like disneyland for me. We got to go to the temple.  I love God's house. He really has such good interior design style. And holy moly being able to participate in an endowment (a special like learning ordinance) IN SPANISH I was giddy. I'm a dork I know.  BUT anyways I was very happy. Speaking of happy things. Valentina got baptized this week. My heart was marshmellowy, she bore her testimony and said she couldn't be more grateful for the example we as missionaries have given her. Best compliment in the world. We asked her how she felt after and she Goes "normal". Ay que te pasa but her brother wants to learn more now because of her :)) My poor comp was DYING last week so we did an emergency division and she went to independencia with the hermana leader who threw up in district council...and all the elders were coughing...so they all were giving each ot...

I'm writing this email in my casa en PERU!!! LOCO. I still can't really believe I'm here haha!  I don't have much to say, but we have a great ffa program lined up. *name that film* But seriously my mind is un poco fried and so it's difícil to even remember what happened since a week ago I was in Ohio.  But to start I need to tell you how gringo i feel.
