Sister Emma Rose Barker (2023-2025)

Twas a few days after Christmas, and all through the MTC, Hermana's brain has been spinning, it felt like cream cheese. So much fun and so spirit and much love for the Savior, it makes little sense that another week is now over. So now settle in, for a festive lengthy email, if you're bored, skip ahead, (the pics are sure to thrill) Someone please tell me what day it is...I feel like I'm in groundhog day slightly. But in a good way. "I like to say a prayer and drink to world peace" is the main mood here (if you didn't get that reference...go watch Groundhog's day. I cannot, so do it in honor of me)  I am running on approximately 7 minutes of sleep each day, but for some reason that makes it more fun. The hermana's and I decided to ban ourselves from speaking English At 10 pm each night so that we can ONLY communicate in Spanish.We were hoping that it would make us run out of things to say so we could fall asleep quick...but it did not. We just kept hab...

I am currently feasting upon peanut butter chocolate oreos as I send this email. Be jealous. It's the finer things in life we celebrate here at the Provo MTC. Anyways. GUYS I AM OFFICIALLY A MISSIONARY!! This is insane. It's been like the longest week and shortest week of my entire life. I don't even know how to begin, but seriously I do love it here. My district (which is like my group of missionaries I'm training with) is literally hilarious. I'm pretty sure we are all the same person? Just different fonts. The hermanas in my district are my new best friends. I got assigned to be the sister missionary in charge of leading along with my companion and we are literally so bad at it cuz we never go to sleep on time which is one of our responsibilities...I think I will have abs from laughing when I get out of the MTC.  We've had some super awesome discussions in class that have grown my faith so so much. I seriously love the Lord and it has been totally a blessing ...
