6.9 All I want is to dry my clothes in a dryer
This week was an absolute whirlwind. Like i feel like pday was yesterday but last tuesday was like at least a month ago. TIME IS SO WEIRD ON THE MISH but bueno.
Ill be so honest my camera roll right now is full of screenshots of pme (my missionary scheduling app) and random.phone numbers im supposed to remember so there might not be much content...props to.hermana de hoyos for actually taking photos.
We're finally starting to see some progress here, we didnt even have a day this week with more than an hour of finding (which is huuuuge cuz usually We're knocking and calling for a good 3 or 4 hours). It makes me so joyous and also.worried that prez is gonna boot me out of here next transfer which would be so emo because there are some mega cool people we have progressing!
I thought i was getting less tired but i guess not because i started saying comp prayer the other day to start our study and fell asleep mid oracion so that was embarrassing. My comp just stared at me till i woke up 3 minutes later
Im pretty sure our neighbors are part of the peruvian cartel. Theyre literally psycho, they like all live on the roof of this half abandoned house and are drunk by 8am. And this one guy who looks like a little kids coloring book he has so many tattoos plays his flute all morning and smokes weed out of it. Weve been thinking about folding a word of wisdom pamphlet into a paper airplane and throwing it across the street to them..idk seems slightly safer than trying to hit them up.
We visited Mapi this week to have a lesson about the law of chastity which always freaks me out becuz for some people its really hard to give up like...not being chaste. But it was so. Good. Like increible. We ended up being there for like an hour and a half but it was amazing because dshe just is so willing to change her life for the gospel. Shes like "ok what do i need to do" and were like UM GET BAPTIZED ON THE 22ND(so ya im stoked out of my mind for her) shes become one of my bestie peruvian friends. Peruvians are just so cool.
Except for when they arent!!! Like manuel is so rad and hes so prepared and his baptism date fell through and he has 50 dogs and he has no friends because his only feiends are his pups. So im emo for him because no one ever bes his friend at church! Like bro!
Im not going to confess how we have aquired some Barbie original (island princess core) songs but we have and i am so joyous.
Had conferencia de zona (which is loco) and saw all the homies and played the piano. And president goes "yeah hna barker do you mind playing called to serve with some energy and speed" i was like "yes sir i shall be obedient" even tho my hands can *barely* reach an octave and that song goes crazy with the big chords. But it was fun anyways.
But yeah. Im running out of ways to say i love being a missionary. I love when were late to lessons and we have to sprint up the hill. I love going to the ysa fhe nights and bringing no bake cookies. I love speaking spanish and gossiping with my mamita. I love listening to jacob sing primary songs in this language i love. I love these people with all my heart. I never want to leave, and lucky for me, i still have 9 months left :) #halfwaybaby
