4.6 Most people are 80% agua, but la abuela is 70% InkaKola

There's a soda here that basically looks and tastes like liquid gold. Our pensionistas mom drinks like 70million of them a day, but then won't eat cookies because she says she's staying away from sugar.

It smells like fish because we are driving next to the ocean and I'm not kidding it is very very strong like you know when you walk past a middle school locker room and it smells like axe so so strong...it's that strength but fish flavored. We're going to ilo! Last pday was dope did a tour of tacna. And rhere wasn't enough room in papitos taxi so bautista and I were in the trunk but anytime we passed police we had to duck and be as flatty pancakes as possible to not get idk deported or something.


I love Peru muchas muchas and I really miss carpeted floors. Had a moment this week where I was like "heyyy I would like to go home now!" But it passed quickly because I realized I really like being a missionary. 

Part of the reason probably I had this moment is cuz i am frightened for this week to end! Because my hermana bautista is going homeeee to her home and although I am stoked for her I am gonna miss her like crazy. We've seriously become like sisters for reals because we fight like madmen and then 2 seconds later are very joyful. Just goes to show that it truly doesn't matter who is right as long as you're both doing what's best for the work of the lord !!

Marian got baptized this week and I love her with my whole heart. She's this super cute 20 year old and has been going to institute with her best friend. She's the first person I've got to teach beginning to baptism and it's been amazing to watch her use the gift of the atonement to truly forgive herself for things and to start anew. I love the gospel!

We only have so many songs downloaded to listen to so it's been so funny to see what other missionaries have in their Google drives...currently listening to "Bad Day"...you know the one that they sing on Alvin and the Chipmunks? Hehe rhat one. 

Had exchanges and it was so fun. Hermana sotomayor shared chisme until very early. (I will be making a movie about her life) but this exchange.. I think it was the most stressed I've been in the past 56 days. I stayed here but we had lessons fall through and I was the one who knew the members so I was in charge of talking the whole time, and leading the lessons and...ya basically I just like it when I'm perfect at things and NEWSFLASH I'm not perfect at being a missionary ! Something mi madre told me last night is that I need to let the mission break me down to let the Savior build me up. Shes always right (as much as i hate to admit it:) 

I've decided I'm naming my first 3 children Maracuya, Salchipapa y Masamorra. Bcuz we had maracuya cheesecake and salchipapa is basically hot dogs and fries w Mayo and it's so yum and also Masa morra is the weird jelly stuff that comes in a plastic bag that we buy in the street but this week it was so good because it was peach and pineapple flavored with arrow con Leche. Lo siendo future husband, you don't get a choice in these names, it has to be done. 

Sang at the baptism...wasn't horrid but def am missing harmonizing with Annie p. 

Bautista and I bought some new pants they are very cool and mine are pink.

Went finding and the first girl we talked to was crying and the second was vomiting. So. Yeah. 

We have been teaching this family that I'm scared we might be losing this week. We invited them to be baptized last week and they said yes but not now which was kinda a setback but whatever we keep up the grind. And now apparently they might not be interested anymore :(( I read yesterday in alma that we need to make sure to not disregard the "easiness of the way". The kids in Moses time only had to look at a dang snake and they were literally fine. It's like UGH DONT YOU GET IT JESUS CAN MAKE YOU SO HAPPY. but also I'm a hypocrite because sometimes I think to be successful I have to be doing a million things to be healed and really all the lord needs is us to LOOK to him and live.

This week was an absolute whirlwind. Like i feel like pday was yesterday but last tuesday was like at least a month ago. 6.11 Better than disneyland

I am so bad at writing emails which is so lame I'm sorry I really don't do Peru justicia.  This week was like disneyland for me. We got to go to the temple.  I love God's house. He really has such good interior design style. And holy moly being able to participate in an endowment (a special like learning ordinance) IN SPANISH I was giddy. I'm a dork I know.  BUT anyways I was very happy. Speaking of happy things. Valentina got baptized this week. My heart was marshmellowy, she bore her testimony and said she couldn't be more grateful for the example we as missionaries have given her. Best compliment in the world. We asked her how she felt after and she Goes "normal". Ay que te pasa but her brother wants to learn more now because of her :)) My poor comp was DYING last week so we did an emergency division and she went to independencia with the hermana leader who threw up in district council...and all the elders were coughing...so they all were giving each ot...

I'm writing this email in my casa en PERU!!! LOCO. I still can't really believe I'm here haha!  I don't have much to say, but we have a great ffa program lined up. *name that film* But seriously my mind is un poco fried and so it's difícil to even remember what happened since a week ago I was in Ohio.  But to start I need to tell you how gringo i feel. I want to speak Spanish so BAD with the ward and especially my cutie compañera hma Bautista. Ella es de la Republica Dominicana!!!! My heart!!!
