2.6 We have a 42 Oz bag of Cadbury eggs and I've never been happier

This week was a tornado. Figuratively and literally. We had un tornado. I think. I say I think because the alarms I guess went off but we were sleeping. But in the morning the roof of the complex next door was gone and there were several trees contorted in strange shapes. So probably it was a tornado unless the neighbors by their own brute force moved their trampoline in the middle of the road. Which would be fun, de hecho, to just saltar during your drive home. Petitioning local governments to mandate trampoline rest stops in all roads.

Ohio I guess is probably throwing a tantrum because it's gonna miss me so much jajaja. (La verdad es I'm gonna throw a mini tantrum...I've grown to love this place and it's people:) but I'll be on a plane on Thursday to continúe the work...just on thr other side of the equator :))

We had a full week with lots of little miracles, friends coming to church and learning and growing so much.

I had a full octopus for dinner last week at another Chinese buffett. We went with Brenda, the branch presidents purple haired sister. It tasted like a a rubber octopus with chili sauce. So yippee. But they had such such good Mac and cheese so me and Brenda's daughter shared a full plate.

Many people in the Great state of Ohio really enjoyed their weeds. The apartment next door as I have said before is literally always just wafting weeds aroma into ours. And they have a pet cat. So my curiosity that could kill that cat is-is that cat high, like all the time? Like every day of its life? A high homeless man yesterday asked if he could make us smile and we said of course ! And he goes "I'm 64 years old. Women never reveal their age, and men never act theirs." Wise words, kroger man, wise words.

Speaking of kroger! They had a customer appreciation day there, so they had cake and bread and oranges for everyone to munch while they shopped! It was so awesome! Even though we aren't customers! And only go there to find Spanish speakers! And invite them to church! Yay!

I won ticket to ride this week when we played with the other sisters...I think that's the first time I ever have in my life. SO TAKE THAT CHARLIE. (for those of you who don't know Charlie is my brother and he always wins ticket to ride and I pout and am a very sore loser. But I always beat him at scrabble (unless he cheats) so it all evens out)

We had dinner with the Vasquez family again, and this time he really did give us giant Rico tacos. It was so delightful. He tried to give us corn coffee that's called "Cafe de mormones ". He's genuinely my favorite dude ever, we talked for a good 20 minutes about all the different weird animals Sister Oler and I will be eating in our respective countries. He also recommended buying snakeskin boots in Mexico, They're only 60 dollars there for real rattlesnake skin. He has like 8 pairs so I trust him.

It was triste this week because we had to do a bunch of pass off lessons --basically introducing our friends to the elders who are going to continue teaching them. At least two of them expressed interest in getting baptized this week so that is kinda hard to have come this far with them and then say goodbye. But I'm so excited for their progress, especially Brayan. He has such a desire to change and he works so hard..he takes a bus to wright state and then walks to church, getting there before all the members. He told us this week that he gets there early because "the early bird, god will bless him":)))

There was a child pageant happening in the mall which I thought was hilarious. That and then the random Ghostbusters display was set up right next to the "museum of mental wellness" which is basically pictures of zentengles and stuff. Only in Ohio.

We had fútbol as usual but I only played for like 2 seconds cuz as soon as it was my team's turn brayans little sister who I was playing with got so annoyed that I left her, she walked into the court and was like "VEEEENNGGGGAAaa"...(basically come back) it was cute but I wanted to play because fútbol > sitting. But then we literally got scored on in the first 20 seconds and I'm pretty sure it wss by the guy who was wearing crocs. Rip.

Next email I send will be from peru!! And I will have seen Stanley (my mtc comp) by then so that's even joyfuller. It's definitely been an experience having a companion who is so different than me in almost every way possible. Really hard at times. Like REALLY. hard. But I've learned a lot about being a peacemaker and loving others regardless of how they make you feel. And also remembering that the only persons who opinion matters is the lords:)) I love my companion and I'm so grateful for what she's taught me, she's the hardest working person I've ever met, and I hope to continue doing the things I've learned from her:)

I love you all tons!! Listening to Jeffrey R Holland talks this week just got me so fired up. He talked about not doubting your faith. It's okay to have questions, but focus on what you do know instead of what you don't. I really have been needing that. We had a man chat it up with us last night for a whiiiile. He knew everything there was to know about the church, even some church history stuff I didn't know. I walked away pretty bummed out...just feeling like I didn't know enough, a little weirded out about the things he brought up, and honestly just a little worried that I didn't have a strong enough testimony to be out here. But
I'm trying to focus on what I DO know to be true. And I DO know the Savior lives and loves me. He's become my best friend. I talk with Him all the time now, and lucky for me, He thinks I'm hilarious even when my companion thinks I am as funny as a pile of rocks:)) praying for you all to continue to build that friendship with your brother, the savior:)))
