Okay I'm done being funny because I have no energy so hopefully something in this email makes you giggle. If not, sorry bout that.
I had a bunch of breakthroughs this week, and also a bunch of moments that were so not muy bien. Firsty we began speaking only in espanol in class. Right now to give you an idea of how that goes, the hermans all kind of know whats going on, and the elders ist there like they are trying to catch flies in their mouths. The main issue right now is I sit by people who have the whitest accent ever and now I speak spanish like him as a joke and can't not have a gringo accent. Sent help and also tamales maybe it'll help my accent.
I actually kinda understand a lot of whats going on so I have that going for me, and i ask a lot of questions and the teachers usually know what i am saying. but also my teachers are trained to listen to people who are bad at Spanish so maybe I really am just no bueno at espanol. Only time will tell.
We had a super good Helping others appointment this week, which is pretty much where you practice teaching people what you'll tell them in the mission field. I was able to really speak from the spirit and my companion had prepared a perfect lesson...like exactly what this volunteer needed to hear. I walked out of it crying because I just was so HAPPY. I turned to my companion and I was like "OKAY Ive decided....I'm going on a mission." Not like I was gonna quit, but it was just a realization that THIS is why I need to be here. To bring people to Christ.
According to Elder ORr I should be sharing my opinion on the current geoecological state of the world in these emails, but since my only source of news is what I hear from the grapevine, please intrigue me with some new information. I am living in a hamster cage. I did get to have Arby's this week...and it tasted so real I thought i was dreaming.
It's been mega sunny recently which IS MUCH APPRECIATED so we've been outside as much as we can. We forced all the elder's to do yoga with us last week and I don't think I've ever met a group of people as unflexible as them. They were babies about it but we hermanas had fun and we fed them oreos so everyone was happy. SPEAKING OF FOOD...shoutout to elder nelsons mom, she sent me a MEGA bag of great harvest breads...everyone in my district is insanely jealous of me
We had some really awesome conversations this week about life and future and stuff. I think a mission is a great time to think about it, because you really patterning your life on who you want to become in the future. So keep that in mind kids, make good choices if you want a good future:)
We also had the cooolest devo last night from Elder John C Pingree and his wife. They talked all about goals and the repentance process too which is so important when it comes to trying to accomplish things.
Basically everyone is dying in our district like I'm not kidding we've called 911 twice this week just for our district. If you want to hear about the field trip I attended at the ER hmu.
LOVE YOU ALL MILLIONS BUT GOD LOVES YOU EVEN MORE which is loco cuz i love yall lots:)
