2.5 Fine Dining in the OCM
T minus 10 days left till this gal is hoppin on a plane to peru!!
We had a superbbusy week and I honestly can't remember very much because *mission brain* and also everything just mooshes together all the time.
But a few things I have a very very recollection of.
1. Antony literally is the coolest ever and God loves Him so much. He's become this person full of light. We got to our lesson on Friday and we go "Cómo esta sus goals? Like have you been doing good?" And he holds out a fist and I put my hand under it and he drops his vape. He goes "I don't need it anymore, this is to show you I'm willing and have changed." BRO. WE WERE STOKED. The plan that night was to really try and get him on date to be baptized so that was a huge step. But before we could say anything more he goes "and I'm moving tomorrow to Virginia for 2 years." I'm sorry WHAT. We proceeded to have a really good lesson and then he said the closing prayer and goes "thank you for placing the hermanas in my life to help me on the path to grow closer to you". So. Yeah. I got in the car and (admittedly) shed a few tears. First time crying in the field go me. But I was just so triste because he is so coolio and I know how much the gospel would bless him!!
I've been realizing lately that literally what we're doing as missionaries is telling people how much God loves them, and inviting them to follow a plan that can bless their lives forever. So even when I'm scared of inviting people, I shouldn't be because all we do as missionaries is invite people to CHRIST.
2. We had 40 trillion at fútbol this week. I know I basically report weekly on the numbers at fútbol, but it kinda really effects who we teach and who is interacting with the gospel. Our friend Bryan brought his whole family and it was so fun cuz I talked to his.mom for a while about colombia and my span was popping off.
3. Speaking of Bryan...he's doing so good. He came to church yesterday and basically told us he really desires a great change in his life and wants to know how he can do that. We were like through the atonement brutha!! You're feeling the spirit! So that was epic and I'm excited for the lessons this week with him.
4. We had exchanges this week! So basically that means we swapped around Companions (which was a very very very fun needed nice party break). The sister training leaders we went with are a PARTY so we had a little sleepover and did a rap battle dance sign language story night. Sister Oler (mi compañera) was not too joyful but I was peeing my pants of laughter so I did not care. It was fun to get to speak English during lessons because I feel like people actually understood me? Ha.
5. Had some fine ohio cuisine this week...golden corrall and taco bell. Pretty dure we're going to another Chinese buffet this week with a member..I don't know what the Latinos love so much about Chinese buffets but the last one we went to had soft serve ice cream so I was a feliz camper.
6. Had a random Facetime with the elders in the branch very random and comical.
7. I had greaters today (aka best ice cream in planet earth)
8. I met an old man named lloyd who sang a song for us on his doorstep. He's got that old time religión.
I love you all!!! But jesus loves you more <3
