And just like that, your very own Hermana Barker is headed out. In approximately 12 hours, I will be landing in Cincinnati Ohio as a missionary for Jesus Christ. It is incredibly surreal. I am kinda moddy because I have to leave my hermanas. They are honestly some of the best people in the world. The elders in the district are alright as well. (jk they are indeed the best elders in the whole mtc)

This week was a weird lot of lasts. Last devo, last time in choir, last drink of Ah Effe (a delicious beverage invented here...fresca and poweradeeee yum) We chit chat most nights because we're running out of chances to do that. I also read the Book of Mormon every night to the other sisters like a bedtime story. We call it don de lenguas as a little joke and it's really fun. I'm gonna miss it, so hopefully my new comp likes bedtime stories.
We spoke a ton of Spanish. It has been mega fun but it MAKES MY HEAD HURT SO BAD. Too many things in my brain. A English Spanish spaghetti mash. My least favorite part is that I feel like I can't express myself super good anymore!! I used to be a beauteous speaker; like someone with a lot of words, and now I am cavemanesque. I did okay on my spanish fluency test so that was a boost of confidence. I hope I'll get to speak spanish in Cincinatti, because otherwise it'll be a rough transition haha.

I just want to express my love of the MTC oatmeal. Pretty much every morning that I don't eat candy for breakfast I make a bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar and cinnamon and PINEAPPLE. I just needed to put that in there as a littl eshoutout. Since I've dogged on the food till now.
I have just felt really really surrounded by miracles. I'm not gonna lie, I've had a couple of pretty hard days but I've been trying to push through it to be there for other people but I've learned I need to let the Savior take the reins (or the wheel lol) and step back. There have been a lot a lot a lot of little tender mercies this week and I am constantly reminded God's hand is in our lives. If you haven;t seen hum for a while, ask Him. I know He'll remind you of His love. Please keep Hma Felter in your prayers, she's made some big decisions this week regarding her msision and health and needs prayers:) also elder oneal in my district cuz his wrist is broken (and he writes on it daily "ouch" to remind himself of the pain...perhaps that's why it wont heal lol)

I am so grateful for this place! I have learned tons, but am so stoked to learn and grow more in the field. I love my Savior and I love YOU!!!
